Rendering a page to a user should probably be the fastest and best optimized thing in a web application. Therefore, all really expensive calculations should be made at some other point. One example of this is textilizing content. In 3, we used the textilize method to transform the book blurb stored in Textile format to HTML. However, this formatting can just as well be done whenever the blurb is changed; that is, when the book is saved. The expression k in d (where d is a dictionary) looks for a key, not a value. The expression v in l, on the other hand (where l is a list) looks for a value, not an index. This may seem a bit inconsistent, but it is actually quite natural when you get used to it. After all, if the dictionary has the given key, checking the corresponding value is easy.

Before you dive into how to do some simple modifications with your Magento theme, you need to take a look at how Magento theme file structure is set up.
